Intro

With a background in social work, I’ve been working in academia for the past 10 years. During this time, I’ve been involved in many large-scale international research projects (FaMiLife, MobileWelfare, MAFE), working together with both academic institutions as well as various national and international NGO’s.

I currently work as an independent researcher and consultant with expertise in the areas of international migration, migrant integration, refugee and asylum (labour market) integration, migrant (transnational) families, inequality and child development.

My geographical focus lies with migration between Africa and Europe. Methodologically, I’m experienced with a wide array of quantitative research methods, including longitudinal analyses, as well as various qualitative methods.
